"Disco Cowboy" by Johnny D (Country Artist from Georgia(GA))

"Disco Cowboy" by Johnny D is a heck of a lot of fun, to say the least. This hybrid of country, disco and blues is on it's way to being a party favorite. Every song on this album has a tremendously energetic vibe. The grooves are thriving. The arrangements are creative and keep you on your toes. Most importantly, every aspect of this CD works well together - even the cheesy pet sounds! Bottom line is this - this album will get you up off the couch and moving to its grooves. Our favorites include the title track, "Disco Cowboy," a classic Disco track that includes every disco element in the book. "Night in the County Jail" is a soulful, bluesy ball of fun with an alley-cat-kind-of flair. Furthermore, "Sugar Daddy Shakedown" features some fun lyrics and a guest female vocalist. If you like party music, country, and blues, this CD is for you!

“Class Act” by Kasi Calvin (Country Artist from Florida(FL))

"Class Act" by Kasi Calvin is an emotional and raw mix of contemporary blues and rock tracks. Kasi's raspy vocal style, nicely complements his emotional, storyteller-type lyrics about his real life experiences. The CD gives a good variety of style and is versatile in lyrics and use of instruments. The guitar and vocal on "Ballad of Ms. Bates" gives a glimpse of forbidden love. The displaced message in "Too Tired To Drink" lets the listener touch the sadder side of life. There is a nice use of the cello and violin on the "Count To Three" that effectively complement Kasi's simple, sweet lyrics that give a contemporary look at love and family. If you enjoy emotional, raw singer-songwriter recordings, you'll enjoy this CD.

"What's Your Point" by Dan Weintraub (Country Artist from Vermont(VT))

"What's Your Point" by Dan Weintraub is a humorous alternative folk album filled with dark humor, punk influences and a "Say what I want" mentality. Dan holds nothing back in his lyrics. The journey through his mind is filled with cynicism and parodies of life. There are lots of smiles hiding in the darkness though. Dan delivers these brooding tunes with an effectively loving and funny style. Dan's talents as a songwriting, acoustic guitarist, and songwriter come together to deliver these enjoyable tunes. Highlights include the opener "Ya Ya Ya." Don't be fooled by the happy-go-lucky sound, Dan has something different in mind. "Employee of the Week" has a driving rhythm and is a love story of sorts. "No One's That Happy" speaks the truth about those who are living in "fake world." If you want to take a humorous look at life, check out this CD by this talented artist.

“Life of Love” by Rachel Wearsch (Country Artist from Ohio(OH))

"Life of Love" by Rachel Wearsch is best described as a delightfully refreshing country/folk album. The style is contemporary and the music is memorable. Listeners will surely remember these tunes and more importantly, be able to relate to the emotions expressed through these poetic lyrics. This CD is a strong reflection of the heavy emotional atmospheres of love and heartbreak that are trademarks of great country tunes. The sax solo on "Just Go On" gives a fine touch to a well-performed piece. The piano intro on "You Gave Me Your Love" and the sensuous presentation of its graceful lyrics simply touches the soul. The toe-tapping up-beat in "Count On Me Baby" will get your blood pumping and make you want to get up and dance. This is a very innovative and creative work of art. What's more, this collection is nicely polished with professional production. It is sure to be a worthwhile addition to you collection of country CD's.
