"Headin' On South" by Greg Schneider (Country Artist from Illinois)

There's a hue of fun and entertaining Country songs on the terrific album, "Headin' On South" by Greg Schneider. This CD serves up some energetic and well written songs with clever lyrics that will make you laugh, rock out, or take you back to a soft and gentle time. Heading up this album, the first track, "Eight Pounder," is quite amusing as it is a bright and witty tune about a fishing trip and catching the "big one." The title track, "Headin' On South," is another song that is straight up infectious as the rootsy and solid vocals Schneider sings catches your attention with strong and solid clarity. Taking a more emotive tone, "Hold 'Em While You Can," is a sweet and charming story about having young children and to hold them because before you know it they've grown up way too fast. Schneider has captured all the right spirit of appetizing Country music with his stylish vocals and excellent instrumentation. So if you are a big fan of Country music, then the excellent CD "Headin' On South" would be just thing your Country soul needs to hear.

RadioIndy Reviews: The Singles new Country CD by Lindsay May from British Columbia

Gifted singer/songwriter Lindsay May releases another wonderful album, “the Singles,” that is overflowing with fantastic Country/Americana music. May is a superb vocalist as she takes control of her voice and delivers a powerful punch. Right from the start, the song, “Stick Around,” is soulful as the emotive vocals rises over the complementary and solid supporting instrumentation. The Country flavors on the song, “Hang Around,” lets the bouncy beats infuse with the catchy and melodious melody. Another song, “Lie to You,” lets the listener take in a softer side to May as she sings the tender lyrics with heartfelt sincerity as the guitar gently plays along side. If you’re a fan of Bonnie Raitt or Rosanne Cash then you will definitely like the outstanding Country/Americana flavored songs on the CD, “the Singles.”
